FAQ

Why should I use Yossh to get an interview?

You don't need to! There are several advantages Yossh has to offer: if you go through our process, we'll be able to generate a far more complete picture of your skills than a resume could. You'll know exactly what to work on to be a better engineer, and you can skip the soul-sucking resume submission ritual. Plus, we can match you with companies you'd never realize you'd excel at.

Do I need a work visa?

We are only able to work with candidates who have work authorization in the United States. However, if you already have an H1-B visa, or you are a STEM student on an F-1 visa and you are eligible for the 2-year OPT program, we can work with you. If you are not a US citizen or permanent resident, or you do not qualify as mentioned above, you will need to obtain your own visa.

What is the time commitment like?

There's been a trend of companies giving coding homework that lasts up to 32 hours but results in 0 feedback. Our technical interview process, from start to finish, takes under 4 hours, AND we give applicants helpful, specific feedback on their performance.

What's the bar? How do we pass?

We score you based on the needs of the companies we're working with. At a high level, if you'd succeed at those companies, you'll easily pass our tests.

What kind of positions do you have?

Currently, we partner with startups and small to medium-sized businesses looking for frontend, backend, full-stack, and mobile engineers. Our technical portion tests these respective skills.
